Bioprospecting of the indigenous Adriatic algae

Herein we propose development of a scientifically reliable platform for the northern Adriatic microalgae bioprospecting, based on numerical model and empirical data, to be used for further development of 3rd generation biofuel in INA-oil refinery in Urinj. The methodology for selection of the most suitable microalgae species indigenous to the northern Adriatic, as well as its associated heterotrophic bacteria, will be explored for production of the biorefinery feedstock.
